The Mef mobil NAVY has many similarities with the "on-shore" Mef mobil as a rapid extraction system; it is, however, equipped with a special and sophisticated device which prevents any rocking of the bundle generated by the rolling of the sea. Very compact and lightweight, suitable for use in small spaces, it is powered by the mobile Van Motor NAVY unit. Given the particularity of its "off-shore" application, the dimensional characteristics of the Mef mobil NAVY are based on the system design specifications provided by the end user or by the the person responsible for the engineering of the project in the spirit of the widest possible collaboration.
ATEX Certification and functionality on FPSO vessels
The Mef mobil NAVY has been designed and manufactured entirely by Maus Italia following the strictest regulations relating to shipbuilding. The Mef mobil NAVY tube puller is available, on request, complete with an ATEX declaration of conformity covering the whole machine ( motors, electric system and all components of the machine suitable for work areas classified as hazardous ).
Van Motor NAVY - Separate motor and control unit
The Van Motor NAVY is a self-positioning trolley comprising a hydraulic control unit powered by a explosion proof transformed diesel motor. The Van Motor NAVY can be used to control both the Mef express NAVY and the Mef mobil NAVY. Using this system reduces the weight and dimensions of the operating machines, making access to otherwise inaccessible points in the system possible. The motor and the control unit are mounted on a trolley with a driver station and self-braking system.
